1. About Albaways

Albaways is an online platform that connects customers with independent car rental companies in Albania. We do not own, operate, or provide rental vehicles ourselves.

All rental agreements, deposits, on-site payments, and responsibilities relating to the vehicle are between the customer and the respective rental company.

2. Definitions

• Customer: A user who browses or books rental cars via the platform.
• Company: A rental business that lists cars on Albaways.
• Booking: A reservation request or confirmed reservation made through the platform.
• Platform: The Albaways website and related services.

3. User Accounts

When creating an account, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that are used for fraud, abuse, or in violation of these Terms.

4. Role of Albaways

Albaways acts only as an intermediary between customers and rental companies. We:

• Display vehicles and offers provided by companies
• Enable customers to search and request bookings
• Forward booking information between customers and companies
• May provide payment authorization or online payment options through third-party providers

We do not:

• Provide rental vehicles or transportation services
• Set rental conditions of the companies
• Guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of vehicles
• Become a party to the rental agreement between customer and company

5. Booking Process

A typical booking process on the platform is as follows:

1. The customer selects rental dates, pickup/drop-off details, and a vehicle.
2. An estimated total price is displayed based on information provided by the company.
3. The customer submits a booking request and may need to authorize an online payment or hold (e.g. via PayPal).
4. The booking request is sent to the rental company for confirmation.
5. The rental company may confirm or decline the booking. We inform the customer accordingly.

Albaways is not responsible if a company cancels a booking, provides incorrect information, or is unable to supply the vehicle.

6. Prices & Payments

Prices shown on the platform are provided by the rental companies. While we aim to keep prices accurate, the company is ultimately responsible for pricing and any additional charges.

6.1 Online Payments

Online payments or payment authorizations may be processed by third-party providers such as PayPal or Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details.

6.2 Deposits & Extra Charges

Rental companies may require deposits, fuel charges, damage fees, insurance upgrades, or other payments at pickup or return. These conditions are set by the rental company and should be communicated before confirming the booking.

Albaways is not responsible for these additional charges.

7. Cancellation & Refunds

Cancellation rules and refund eligibility are determined by the rental company and will be shown during the booking process whenever possible.

If a booking is cancelled, any refunds of online payments or authorizations are processed according to:

• The cancellation policy of the rental company
• The rules of your payment provider (e.g. PayPal)

Albaways is not responsible for refunds of payments made directly to rental companies.

8. Responsibilities of Customers

Customers are responsible for:

• Providing accurate personal and contact information
• Meeting the rental company's requirements (age, licence, documents, etc.)
• Complying with traffic laws and rental conditions
• Paying all agreed fees, deposits, fines, and charges related to the rental

9. Responsibilities of Companies

Rental companies are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information about vehicles, prices, and conditions
• Ensuring vehicles are legal, safe, and properly insured
• Honouring confirmed bookings where possible
• Handling deposits, damages, and customer support related to the rental
• Complying with Albanian laws and regulations

Albaways may suspend companies that repeatedly provide misleading information or fail to meet expected standards.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Albaways is not liable for:

• Vehicle conditions, damages, or accidents
• Booking cancellations or changes by companies
• Price changes or additional charges by companies
• Losses resulting from delays, breakdowns, or incidents during the rental
• Any indirect or consequential damages related to the use of our platform or the rental services

Our responsibility is limited to providing access to the platform and transmitting booking information.

11. Disputes

Disputes about the rental (vehicle condition, deposits, damages, extra fees) must be resolved directly between the customer and the rental company.

We may, at our discretion, assist by providing booking information, but we are not obligated to mediate or decide disputes.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the platform for users or companies who:

• Violate these Terms
• Commit fraud or abuse the platform
• Provide false or misleading information in a significant way

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page. If changes are significant, we may notify registered users by email or via the platform.
